I liked your story of the letterboxing. I did that in my community and got death threats while the murderers said that they were the victims and hid from the public.

But the booster uptake tells the story. People are not injecting anymore, and as for those in the vaccine religion, no data will convince, because beliefs are not subject to data.

I was right on the edge of letterboxing , probably for a year. After I delayed the adults I thought, they 'better not vax the children', and was quite sure I'd letterbox if that ever happened - but still I missed it.

I think the right time might've been in December 2020, as soon as I knew the nature of the vaccines, so people could know their risks a long time before they went into it. But I was still in shock in Dec 2020, still processing - shocked that they'd use genetic injections. Brett Sutton had laughed at the idea of the vaccines being mandatory. I don't know if he knew the big game or not.

What did you decide to tell your neighbours?

Just notification of a local community event if they were interested in learning more. Nothing too hard core.

There's a good reason, within the mainstream medical paradigm, for not vaccinating the very frail elderly: vaccine efficacy depends on having a functional immune system. Plus of course the higher risk, which no health practitioner dares to mention out loud these days. I'm not sure to what extent that was the actual reason for not vaccinating this group - we know now that these decisions are not always made with the patient's benefit in mind. But it's not necessarily sinister.

Of course, that doesn't alter the fact that any study ought to control for this, or at least mention it.

Or that the risks and benefits are inextricably tied together, in determining safety and efficacy as an overall outcome.

And it doesn't alter the fact that they were mindlessly repeating the "safe and effective" mantra before it was possible to know this, and that the precautionary principle - one of the cornerstones of proper medical treatment - would dictate that you would indeed have been justified in letterbox dropping! (Whether it would have been wise is another question - because by that point, most people were so terrified of getting covid and so brainwashed by the "vaccines are going to save us" narrative that they would only have turned on you in fury.)

Re your first line, indeed! I found some 'unspoken' data in that Yap paper. They reported that frail elderly with 2 Doses were not significantly advantaged on Death<28days over their 0 Dose counterparts. Very rare report! So I've done a reprise.

I don't think the non-vaccination is sinister at all. Either way, it speaks to the benefit of the resident. Whatever, it's done in goodwill.

And 'safe and effective' - propaganda!

Great investigation and article, thank you! All these dodgy studies need to be questioned, and their researchers held to account. Thank you for doing this work! That they didn't compare unvaccinated to vaccinated is clear selection bias to me, and smacks of bad agenda. Everything else is then suspect!

Thanks, Diana. I don't think any researcher is going to do the full job needed, but if they did they may not be published.

I really think the Clinical Frailty Scale should've been in the multivariable analysis, and if the Deaths weren't among the Category 8 people there's obviously something wrong with the ratings.

Big edit: I can't reproduce their odds ratios so I'm going to withhold further opinion while I try and work out the facts of the study.

Yes, exactly. It is actually ludicrous to expect to compare 2-vax to 'somwhat vaxxed'. Phd does not equate to integrity thats for sure. I am surprised they included any data on the frailty score at all.
